The main ingredient of Amaro Nepeta and the first herbaceous character that your palate will encounter on the first sip is the wild nepitella (mint). It recalls the wild taste of the Sicilian countryside. After the first pass and at the ending of the second the palate encounters a slight bitter taste from the infusion of the zest of our Siracusa Lemons (IGP), this is the second ingredient. Artemisia, citrus aurantium amara and gentian root are just some of the typical Sicilian bitter herbs we use, many of which grow spontaneously throughout the Hyblean region, on the edges of the dry terroir, on the white and calcareous rocks, inside a “trazzera”, on the sides of a creek; they are the final touch of the recipe, which gives the perfect balance to the Amaro Nepèta
